Penn State Extension will hold a March 18 in-person workshop on How To Design, Install, Maintain Micro-Forests at the Easton Wine Project, 1247 Simon Blvd, Set N103 in Easton, Northampton County.

Learn what micro-forests are, why they matter, and how to design, install, and maintain them to strengthen communities, support biodiversity, and restore landscapes where trees are needed most.

Join Rob Christopher of the City of Easton Office of Urban Conservation as he shares insights from leading the installation of a micro-forest in Lower Hackett Park in Easton and from publishing a practical guide on creating these dense, native plantings.

Learn what a micro-forest is, why it matters, and how it can bring environmental and community benefits to urban areas and beyond.
