Since 1984 the Pennsylvania Resources Council has held an annual Lens on Litter Photo Contest, not to glorify litter, but to call attention to the litter problem in communities across the Commonwealth.
Thousands of photos have been submitted over the years depicting Litterbugs at work.
Pennsylvanians are again asked to submit photos of unusual or unsightly examples of litter in their neighborhoods for a chance to win up to $500!
Before & After
Contestants are also asked to coordinate a clean-up of the area and submit Before & After photos in a new category sponsored by Keep PA Beautiful.
From March 1st through May 31st, Pick Up Pennsylvania’s spring event in support of The Great American Cleanup, cleanups are eligible for free work gloves, safety vests, and trash bags as supplies last.
Donated landfill space for trash collected during the cleanup is also available for free or reduced cost between April 1st through April 30th.
Registered events will receive details on participating landfills.
In order to qualify for the Before & After category, clean-ups must be registered with Pick Up Pennsylvania.
