DEP Issues Repasky Enterprises Violations For Abandoning, Not Plugging 18 Conventional Oil & Gas Wells In Venango County

On March 24, 2026, the Department of Environmental Protection issued violations to Repasky Enterprises for abandoning and not plugging 18 conventional oil and gas wells in Oakland Township, Venango County.

The well owner also failed to submit annual production, waste generation and well integrity reports for at least 10 years [actually never].

There is no record of these wells ever being inspected.

Repasky Enterprises holds 24 permits, including three other abandoned wells, with offices in 40799 Mystic Park Road, Titusville, Crawford County.

DEP requested a response to the violations by April 13.

The conventional wells include: Reid Willis W3, Reid Willis W7, Reid Willis W8, Reid Willis W9, Reid Willis W13, Reid Willis 4, Reid Willis 19, Reid Willis 20, Reid Willis 21, Reid Willis 22, Reid Willis 23, Reid Willis 24, Reid Willis 25, Reid Willis 27, Reid Willis 28, Reid Willis 29, Reid Willis 31, Reid Willis 32,

139 Abandoned Conventional Well Violations

DEP has issued 139 violations for conventional oil and gas well abandonment so far in 2026-- about a dozen wells a week.
