DEP Invites Comments On Chapter 105 Permit For 5-Mile Long Expand Operating LLC Water Pipeline To Support Shale Gas Development In Auburn Twp., Susquehanna County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the March 21 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a Chapter 105 Encroachment permit for a 4.98 mile long, 16-inch water pipeline to support shale gas development by Expand Operating LLC in Auburn Township, Susquehanna County. (
PA Bulletin, page 1610)

The project would involve 35 stream and wetland crossings disturbing a total of about 11.2 acres.

No hearing has been scheduled on this application, but one may be requested.

Comments must be submitted to DEP by April 20-- 30 days after this notice.
