DEP: If Requested, A Hearing Will Be Held May 14 On J.C. Cleaners Hazardous Waste Site In Gettysburg, Adams County And The Failed Attempt To Contain Groundwater Contamination

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the March 28 PA Bulletin announcing it will hold a May 14 hearing-- if requested-- on the
J.C. Cleaners Hazardous Waste Site in Gettysburg, Adams County.  (PA Bulletin, page 1760)

DEP is reopening the Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act statement of decision for this site because of the failure of on-site extraction wells to contain groundwater contamination at the site and the need to update site remediation standards.

If requested, a hearing will be held at the Gettysburg Borough Office, 59 East High Street, Gettysburg from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

DEP will accept comments on the revised Statement of Decision for this site until April 28.
