U.S. Navy Awards $11 Million for Public Water Expansion

The U.S. Navy has awarded NBCMA more than $11 million to expand public water service along Bristol Road, helping bring safe, reliable drinking water to more homes in the community.

The project will extend NBCMA's water system to properties identified by the Navy, allowing eligible homeowners to connect to public water service and safely discontinue use of their existing private drinking wells.

Construction will include two sections along Bristol Road:

-- Eastern section: From 667 Bristol Road to 1233 Bristol Road.

-- Western section: From Kelinger Road to 93 West Bristol Road.

Together, these extensions encompass approximately 56 homes currently being evaluated for public water connections.

This federal investment represents an important step toward expanding access to dependable public drinking water and strengthening local infrastructure for years to come.

NBCMA Receives Statewide Community Engagement Award

NBCMA received a Municipal Authority Community Engagement Award at the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association (PMAA) Annual Conference, held September 14–16.

The award recognizes NBCMA's summer internship program and its commitment to providing educational opportunities, supporting workforce development, and introducing young people to careers in public water service.

Executive Director Jonathan Vito and Director of Operations Jeff Greenwood attended the conference, joining municipal authority leaders from across Pennsylvania to exchange ideas, explore emerging technologies, and share best practices.

The recognition reflects NBCMA's belief that investing in people is just as important as investing in infrastructure.

From expanding public water access to supporting the next generation of water professionals, NBCMA remains focused on responsible stewardship, long-term planning, and delivering dependable public water service.
