Penn State Extension Hosts 2 In-Person Volunteer Riparian Buffer Plantings In Lancaster County Nov. 3, 14

The
Penn State Extension will host two in-person Volunteer Riparian Buffer Plantings in Elizabethtown November 3 and Lancaster November 14 starting at 9:00 a.m.

This event offers a chance to plant tree seedlings as part of a riparian buffer, a vital environmental strategy that helps protect and improve water quality.

Riparian buffers are one of the most cost-effective and impactful ways to reduce erosion, filter pollutants, and preserve our natural water systems.

This event will take place rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and expect to get muddy. We recommend wearing boots and work gloves and bringing sunscreen, bug spray, and a water bottle.
