DEP Will Hold Dec. 2 Hearing On Revision To Title V Air Quality Permit For a Glass Furnace At The PQ LLC Facility In Chester, Delaware County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the October 25 PA Bulletin announcing a December 2 hearing on a revision to the Title V Air Quality Permit for a glass furnace at the PQ LLC facility in Chester, Delaware County.  (
PA Bulletin, page 7473).

DEP said the modification of this operating permit does not authorize any increase in air emissions of any regulated pollutants above previously approved levels.

The hearing will be held at Chester City Hall, One 4th Street in Chester starting at 7:00 p.m.

To register to speak at the hearing, please contact Mr. Dong Yoon Kim, DEP Southeast Regional Environmental Justice Coordinator, at RA-EPOEJ@pa.gov or 484-250-5852.

Persons unable to attend the hearing may submit a written statement and exhibits no later than December 12, 2025, after the public hearing, to Janine Tulloch-Reid at 2 E. Main Street, Norristown, PA 19401, or at RA-EPSEROAQPUBCOM@pa.gov

Information or an opportunity to review the draft permit can be requested through the Air Quality resource account at RA-EPSEROAQPUBCOM@pa.gov
