DEP Invites Comments On A Revised Title V Air Quality Permit For The Homer City Generation Coal-Fired Power Plant In Indiana County To Allow The Transfer Of Air Emission Reduction Credits For Data Center Project

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the November 1 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a revised Title V Air Quality Permit for the Homer City Generation LP coal-fired power plant in Center Township, Indiana County to allow for the transfer of air emission reduction credits.  (PA Bulletin, page 7634)

The revisions would memorialize the shut down and removal of the coal-fired boilers as of June 30, 2024 and authorize the transfer of emission reduction credits for volatile organic compounds, nitrogen oxide, and particulate matter 2.5.

Comments are due December 1 - 30 days from the notice.

No hearing is scheduled, but one can be requested.
