DEP Invites Comments On A Revised Title V Air Quality Permit For The Homer City Generation Coal-Fired Power Plant In Indiana County To Allow The Transfer Of Air Emission Reduction Credits For Data Center Project

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the November 1 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a revised Title V Air Quality Permit for the Homer City Generation LP coal-fired power plant in Center Township, Indiana County to allow for the transfer of air emission reduction credits.  (

The revisions would memorialize the shut down and removal of the coal-fired boilers as of June 30, 2024 and authorize the transfer of emission reduction credits for volatile organic compounds, nitrogen oxide, and particulate matter 2.5.

Comments are due December 1 - 30 days from the notice.

No hearing is scheduled, but one can be requested.
