The series will begin on September 1 and end on October 13.
Entomology 102 builds on the foundational concepts introduced in Entomology 101 (June 24), expanding participants' understanding of insects and arthropods that influence daily life, landscapes, agriculture, and human and animal health.
In this engaging series, Penn State Extension experts examine topics such as insects of medical and veterinary importance; pests affecting ornamentals, turf, and vegetable systems; and common urban pests found in homes and structures.
Participants will also explore the vital roles of pollinators and other beneficial insects in supporting resilient ecosystems, as well as the diversity of spiders in Pennsylvania and their ecological significance.
