Interfaith is asking volunteers for a 12 month commitment that begins with a three month learning community followed by 9 months of project and peer-to-peer support that is designed specifically for congregations and community groups that are looking to take their FIRST or NEXT Tree planting step.
Training topics include--
-- Faith-based tree equity principles
-- Community engagement and leadership
-- Ethics of data collection
-- How to use mapping and reporting tools
-- Canvassing basics
-- Tree distribution logistics
Why volunteer?
-- Build community across traditions,
-- Restore local canopy,
-- Care for creation together.
Interfaith hopes to convene community representative(s) in our cohort to support community tree planting or tree distribution projects.
This cohort is open to all levels of tree experience and individuals, congregations, or community groups of any size, any tradition (or none), and any stage of your tree planting and distribution journey.
Cohorts begin in the fall of 2026 and the spring of 2027.
