Penn State Master Gardeners Of Cumberland County Host Aug. 13 In-Person Workshop On Gardening With Nature - Prairie Pockets - Plants For People And Pollinators

The
Penn State Master Gardeners Of Cumberland County will host an August 13 in-person workshop on Gardening With Nature - Plants For People And Pollinators at the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library in Camp Hill, Cumberland County from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

The workshop explores how homeowners can incorporate local habitat into their landscapes to support pollinators and strengthen ecosystem health. 

As natural spaces continue to shrink, understanding and supporting local ecology becomes increasingly important for preserving the benefits these systems provide, including pollination, water filtration, flood mitigation, and cleaner air. 

Inspired by the natural character of local ecoregions, participants will learn practical strategies for creating beautiful, purposeful landscapes that move beyond traditional ornamental gardening to support biodiversity and environmental resilience.
