DEP Invites Comments On Permit For PPL Electric Wescosville-Allentown 138 kV Transmission Line Project In South Whitehall Twp., Lehigh County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the June 27 PA Bulletin inviting comments on an Individual Stormwater Management Permit for the PPL Electric Wescosville-Allentown 138 kV Transmission Line Project In South Whitehall Twp., Lehigh County.  (

The project proposes the installation of fiber and replacement of thirteen (13) lattice towers and two (2) monopoles along an approximately 3-mile, existing electric transmission line and will disturb an area of about 32 acres.

The project will impact Jordan Creek (High Quality) and Cedar Creek (High Quality).

DEP is accepting comments until July 27-- 30 days after this notice.
