DEP Posted 64 Pages Of Permit-Related Notices In April 11 PA Bulletin

-- PA Oil & Gas Industrial Facilities: Permit Notices, Opportunities To Comment - April 11 [PaEN]


-- DEP published notice in the April 11 PA Bulletin announcing a May 11 hearing on the response to the North Centre Township PFAS ‘forever chemicals’ site in Columbia County under the state Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act involving contaminated sewage sludge. (PA Bulletin, page 2068)

The investigation area for the PFAS contamination has been expanded to include 12 municipalities-- the Town of Bloomsburg, Beaver, Briar Creek, Catawissa, Fishing Creek, Locust, Main, Mount Pleasant, North Centre, Orange, Scott and South Centre townships in Columbia County.  Read more here.


-- DEP published notice in the April 11 PA Bulletin announcing a May 12 hearing on the Individual NPDES Stormwater Permit for the 5.8 mile HCPP 30-Inch Natural Gas Pipeline serving the 4.5 GW Homer City A.I. -- DEP published notice in the April 11 PA Bulletin inviting the submission of water quality and other technical data for the evaluation of the water quality classification of 34 Class A Wild Trout and Wild Trout streams in 19 counties. The streams are located in Bedford, Blair, Centre, Clearfield, Crawford, Franklin, Indiana, Juniata, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Luzerne, Mifflin, Montgomery, Montour, Northumberland, Somerset, Tioga, Venango, Westmoreland counties. -- DEP published notice in the April 11 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a draft changes to the Noncoal Civil Penalty Assessments guidance document [562-4180-101].  Comments due May 11.


-- DEP published notice in the March 21 PA Bulletin inviting comments on draft Guidance for the Application of Regional Air Quality Civil Penalty Assessments. Comments due April 20.


-- DEP published notice in the April 11 PA Bulletin announcing the approval of the Elk County Municipal Waste Plan revision.  (PA Bulletin, page 2069)


-- The Public Utility Commission published notice in the April 11 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a proposed rule regulating electric distributed energy, aggregation resources and virtual Power plant participation in wholesale energy markets. Comments due June 10.  Read more here.


Solicitations

-- DEP published an Act 181 notice in the April 11 PA Bulletin inviting interest in the operation and maintenance of a mine drainage treatment facility on a forfeited coal mining site in Somerset County. Response due by April 27.  (PA Bulletin, page 2067)

-- McKean County is soliciting proposals for municipal waste disposal capacity as part of updating its County Municipal Waste Management Plan. Responses due May 8. (PA Bulletin, page 2068)

-- Constellation Energy Generation LLC - Muddy Run Pumped Storage Facility: DEP invites comments on renewal of a NPDES Wastewater Permit for the facility in Drumore Twp, Lancaster County. (PA Bulletin, page 2019)

-- Duquesne Light - Elrama Coal Ash Disposal  Facility Leachate: DEP invites comments on a Waste Permit related to installing pipelines to carry leachate from the Disposal Facility to municipal drainage infrastructure along Route 837 located in Union Twp., Washington County.  (PA Bulletin, page 2031)

-- Waste Management of Fairless, LLC - Fairless Landfill: DEP renewed the waste permit for the waste facility located in Falls Twp., Bucks County. (PA Bulletin, page 2056)

-- Waste Management Disposal Services of PA, Inc. - GROWS Landfill: DEP approved the removal of a permit condition for the development of a landfill gas facility by March 30, 2026 located in Falls Twp., Bucks County. (PA Bulletin, page 2056)

--  Delaware County Solid Waste Authority - Rolling Hills Landfill: DEP renewed a Title V Air Quality Permit for the facility located in Earl Twp., Berks County. (PA Bulletin, page 2057)

-- Hermitage Municipal Authority - Waste-To-Energy Facility: DEP renewed a State Only Air Quality Permit for the facility located in the City of Hermitage, Mercer County. (PA Bulletin, page 2058)
