DEP Invites Comments On Renewal Of Wastewater Permit For Restart Of Constellation Energy’s Three Mile Island Nuclear Data Center Power Plant In Dauphin County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the April 18 PA Bulletin inviting comments on the renewal of  an NPDES wastewater permit for the Constellation Energy Generation LLC Three Mile Island Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1 in Dauphin County.  (PA Bulletin, page 2131)

The power plant was renamed the Christopher M. Crane Clean Energy Center and will be dedicated to providing electricity to Microsoft A.I. data centers.

The wastewater permit covers multiple outfalls from the facility based on a total design flow of 43 million gallons a day.

DEP will accept comments on this application until May 18-- 30 days from this notice.

No hearing has been scheduled, but one can be requested.
