DEP said Penneco determined there may be a leak in the casing after a test found casing pressure had decreased.
When the tubing was being removed, the on/off tool in the well was also removed and showed signs of corrosion. Seals on the tool were also found to be worn.
After the tubing and other equipment was replaced, DEP said a mechanical integrity test was conducted and the well passed.
No violations issued. DEP inspection report.
