DEP Invites Comments On Water Quality Permits For A 3.7 Mile Natural Gas Gathering Pipeline Route In Elk And Forest Counties

The Department of Environmental Protection published notices in the January 3 PA Bulletin inviting comments on two Chapter 105 permits for a Pennhills Resources LLC 3.7 mile, 4-inch natural gas pipeline in Elk and Forest counties.

The proposed route is from the Pennhills shale gas well pad Z in Jenks Twp., Forest County to the Pin Oak pipeline in Highland Twp., Elk County impacting Pigeon Run (High Quality), floodways and wetlands.

No hearing has been scheduled, but one may be requested.

Comments are due February 2-- 30 days from the notices.
