This plea for help came to PA Environment Digest and it illustrates the feelings of many residents caught in the middle of the stampede to build A.I. data centers.
Do you know what is happening around the Berwick nuclear plant and the surrounding beautiful area?
These A.I. companies are going to take over our small towns.
They are coming in and making land deals offering landowners enormous amounts of money for their homes and properties.
Local townships are trying to stop these monstrosities and it seems hopeless.
We don’t have the money to fight these billion dollar companies-- Amazon, Microsoft etc.
I have always wondered how citizens let the coal companies strip our land and pollute our streams. Now I know.
I don’t know if you know our towns-- Wapwallopen, Hobbie, Nescopeck, Briggsville, Drums, Sugarloaf, Conyngham, Briar Creek, Summerhill-- they are taking all these beautiful towns away.
Why can’t we make them stop.
Build these data centers on the land that is already ruined.
