This 90-minute session will include an overview of HABs, an introduction to Meaningful Watershed Education Experiences, a guest lecture from Dominique Derminio, Ph.D., discussion time for resource sharing, and tips for incorporating the topic for 3rd to 12th grade learners.
Participants should complete the prerequisite three-hour, asynchronous Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) Great Lakes Literacy education exploration (GLLee) learning module prior to the session's start to be eligible for this program.
Center for Great Lakes Literacy programs are open to all.
A $100 stipend is available for Pennsylvania formal and nonformal educators of 3rd-12th grade learners for the completion of the "What's Involved?" items.
