PJM Interconnection Cold Weather Operations To Continue Thru Feb. 2; Electricity Demands Now Projected To Be Below Record Winter Peak

On January 29, the PJM Interconnection said extreme cold temperatures are now expected to last through February 2 and peak electricity demand for the next four days are expected to be below the all-time winter peak of 143,700 MW set last January.

PJM will continue the Cold Weather Alert through February 2 and to work with its generation and transmission owners during these frigid operating conditions in its 13 state operating footprint.
