DEP Issued Chapter 105 Permit For Expand Operating LLC 4.98 Mile, 16-Inch Aboveground Shale Gas Water Pipeline In Auburn Twp., Susquehanna County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the September 12 PA Bulletin announcing it has issued a Chapter 105 permit for an Expand Operating LLC  4.98 mile, 16-inch aboveground shale gas water pipeline in Auburn Township, Susquehanna County.  (PA Bulletin, page 6097)

The project will impact Transue Creek, Tuscarora Creek and multiple wetland areas.

The pipeline will provide water for the “safe reliable development of Marcellus Shale Natural Gas.”

Anyone aggrieved by this decision has 30 days from the date of this notice to file an appeal with the Environmental Hearing Board.
