DEP Invites Comments On Revised Hazardous Sites Cleanup Plan For The Keystone Metals Reduction Site In Cheswick Boro, Allegheny County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the August 1 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a revised Hazardous Sites Cleanup Plan for the Keystone Metals Reduction Site in Cheswick Boro, Allegheny County. (

DEP is reopening the administrative record for this Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act site as a result of new information becoming available that will allow a more focused and cost effective approach to cleaning up the site while limiting disruptions to the active business and buildings on the site.

The new information contained in the administrative record will be open for comment from August 1, 2026, through September 30, 2026.
