DEP Invites Comments On Eastern Gas Transmission & Storage Daylighting Project For 30-Inch Natural Gas Pipeline To Prevent Longwall Coal Mining Damage In Greene County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the July 25 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a Chapter 105 permit for an Eastern Gas Transmission & Storage Inc. project to daylight the 30-inch TL-590 natural gas pipeline to prevent damage from longwall coal mining in Center and Richhill Townships, Greene County.  (

The project involves exposing 1.4 miles of the pipeline in a way that will impact Jacobs Run (High Quality) and Whitethorn Run.

No hearing has been scheduled, but one may be requested.

Comments are due August 24-- 30 days from this notice.
