DEP Invites Comments On Proposed Hazardous Sites Cleanup Consent Order With Chevron USA For A Site In Springdale Boro. Allegheny County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the August 1 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a proposed Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act Consent Order and Agreement covering a contaminated site owned by Chevron USA, Inc. in Springdale Boro, Allegheny County.

The site is contaminated with polychlorinated hydrocarbons, including TCE. 

The COA memorializes Chevron’s agreement to conduct further investigation at its property, and off-site, to demonstrate compliance with Act 2 Land Recycling and Environmental Remediation Standards.

Comments are due by September 30-- 60 days from this notice.

Comments should be sent to: Paul Vogel, Manager, Hazardous Sites Cleanup, DEP Southwest Regional Office, 400 Waterfront Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 or by emailing the Department at RA-EPSW-HSCA@pa.gov
