October 20 - Stream & Buffer Ecology
This workshop provides a basic foundation for understanding the role that riparian forest buffers play in stream health.
We will discuss stream ecology, long-term restoration work in small watersheds, and current research about forest buffer establishment.
Please wear closed toe shoes and dress for the weather as we will tour the meadow and restoration reaches of White Clay Creek.
The workshop will be held from 8:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
October 22 - Impairment & Strategies For Recovery
This workshop takes a deeper dive into the research at the Stroud Center in addition to advanced concepts in watershed restoration.
Hear from several Stroud researchers about current research projects and tour the labs.
We will discuss stream stressors and restoration strategies.
Please wear closed toe shoes and dress for the weather as we will tour the meadow and restoration reaches of White Clay Creek.
The workshop will be held from 8:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Both workshops will be held at the Stroud Water Research Center, 970 Spencer Road, Avondale in Chester County.
