The award presentation took place at PMAA’s 83rd Annual Conference in Bethlehem.
“Representative Davidson has been a steadfast champion for municipal authorities across the state. As prime sponsor of House Bill 921, he is leading the effort to establish a statewide Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP), aimed at helping eligible ratepayers pay overdue water and wastewater bills. He also cosponsored legislation requiring state agencies and nonprofit organizations to pay their fair share of stormwater management fees. Additionally, he played a key role in advancing a bill that designates municipal authority employees as a protected class against assault, further strengthening protections for frontline public workers. Representative Davidson is the kind of leader who not only understands the challenges our members face but actively works to solve them,” said PMAA President Terri Hauser.
“I appreciate PMAA’s work to strengthen municipal authorities across Pennsylvania,” said Rep. Davidson. “I’m honored and humbled to receive this award, and I will continue to advocate in the legislature to support the important work of our municipal authorities.”
