DEP Sets Nov. 10 Hearing On Renewal Of Air Quality Permit For Cleveland Cliffs Monessen Coke [Coal] Works In Westmoreland County; Wastewater Plant Permit Renewal Pending

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the October 11 PA Bulletin announcing a November 10 hearing on the renewal of a Title V Air Quality Permit for the Cleveland Cliffs Monessen Coke [Coal] Works located in the City of Monessen, Westmoreland County. (PA Bulletin, page 7167)

The hearing will be held at the DEP Southwest Regional Office, 400 Waterfront Drive in Pittsburgh starting at 10:00 a.m.

The last day to pre-register to speak at the hearing will be November 3, 2025. If DEP does not receive any pre-registered speakers by this date, the hearing will be canceled.
