DEP Schedules Dec. 17 Hearing On A Revised Title V Air Quality Permit For The 400 MW Portland Power, LLC Power Plant In Northampton County; To Attract Data Center Project

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the November 1 PA Bulletin announcing a December 17 hearing on a revised Title V Air Quality Permit for the Portland Power, LLC 400 MW power plant in Upper Mount Bethel Township, Northampton County. (

The hearing will be held at the DEP Northeast Regional Office, 2 Public Square in Wilkes-Barre starting at 10:00 a.m.

To register to speak at the hearing, please contact Mark Wejkszner at 570-826-2528 or at mwejkszner@pa.gov

The last day to pre-register to speak at the hearing will be December 12, 2025.

Persons unable to attend the hearing may submit a written statement and exhibits within 10 days thereafter.

All pertinent documents are available electronically for public review and copies can be requested by contacting Mark Wejkszner at 570-826-2528 or at mwejkszner@pa.gov.
