The project proposes to replace approximately 2 miles of existing 24-inch natural gas pipeline with 36-inch pipeline to transport natural gas from Bakers Watering Trough Road in Reading Township to Baltimore Pike (SR 0194) in Washington Township.
The Project, as proposed, will require approximately 27.7 acres of earth disturbance, and impacts to 1,020 linear feet of 10 streams, Red Run and unnamed tributaries to Red Run, and 2.04 acres of floodway, 0.81 acres of temporary wetland impacts.
DEP invites comments on a Section 401 Water Quality Certification; two Encroachment GP-11 General Permits for the pipeline segments in each of the counties; and a Chapter 102 Erosion and Sedimentation Permit.
There is a 30 day comment period open.
Read the entire PA Bulletin notice for information on how to review the applications, submit comments and for other background. (PA Bulletin, page 4926 and 4928)
