4th Annual Susquehanna Greenway Outdoor Expo Comes To Shikellamy State Park Aug. 2 In Selinsgrove

The
Susquehanna Greenway Partnership announced the 4th Annual Susquehanna Greenway Outdoor Expo is coming to Shikellamy State Park in Union and Northumberland counties in Selinsgrove August 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Shikellamy State Park Marina—where the North and West branches of the river meet—the Expo brings together outdoor experts, gear vendors, educators, and environmental partners for a one-day celebration of recreation, learning, and connection in the great outdoors. 

The event will feature more than 50 vendors from across the state to engage with attendees and offer a full slate of activities, presentations, and demonstrations—all at no cost to the public. 

It’s a great way to discover new opportunities to engage with the outdoors in the region and beyond! 

With programming that includes a live wildlife show, intro to paddling lessons, kid-friendly activities, food trucks, live music, and more, there is something for the whole family. 

Some exhibitors will include: 

-- Bald Eagle Mountain Bike Association (BEMBA): This non-profit club is dedicated to mountain bike advocacy, education, access, and trail building. Join them for events & monthly rides! 

-- Butch’s Smokehouse Fixx: Serving up mouthwatering BBQ food and sides. 

-- Dida's Incredible Edibles Ice Cream: Specializing in hand-dipped ice cream and other sweet treats. Dida's also features old-fashioned milkshakes and sundaes made with any flavor ice cream that they have available. 

-- Gilson Snow: GILSON is one of the leading independent snowboard & ski manufacturers in the world. Top quality construction, made in the USA.  

-- R. B. Winter Chapter of Trout Unlimited: The R.B. Winter Chapter of Trout Unlimited focuses on educational programming and activities within the Susquehanna Valley. Chapter members will provide fly-tying demonstrations throughout the day and a tank with some live critters right at the Expo. 

-- Susquehanna River Trail Association: All volunteer non-profit group tasked with maintaining the 22 island campsites of the Middle Section from Sunbury to Harrisburg. Learn all about how you can plan your next river island adventure. 

-- Link Cyclery LLC: A family owned and operated bicycle shop with a wide range of bikes in Road, Mountain, Gravel, Hybrid, Children, & E-Bikes, you can find your ride here. Try out an e-bike for yourself at the Outdoor Expo! 

-- Michael Kinney Photography: Featuring adventures surrounding the Susquehanna River. The most recent adventure included a 228 mile thru-paddle of the West Branch Susquehanna River recorded in virtual reality which you can sample at the Outdoor Expo.   

-- Riverside Adventure Company: Outfitter based out of Montour County, RAC will provide FREE beginner paddling sessions right at the Expo, offering a hands-on introduction to paddling techniques, water safety, and basic gear. 

-- Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau: (SPONSOR) The SRVVB promotes the Susquehanna River Valley [comprised of Snyder, Northumberland and Union counties] and its outdoor recreation amenities to outdoor enthusiasts both within the region and nationally. 

-- S.T.R.I.K.E. K9 Search & Rescue: A team of qualified and certified people and canines that search for lost and missing people; meet the crew and learn what is involved in training. 

-- TCO Fly Shop: Founded in 1990, TCO Fly Shop is the largest and most complete fly fishing outfitter on the East Coast. With 5 locations in PA including Bryn Mawr, Reading, Boiling Springs, Muncy and State College, their mission is to be the most trusted and respected fly-fishing retailer while fostering the growth of the sport and industry. Through innovation and community engagement, they strive to provide the best gear, knowledge, and experiences for anglers of all levels. 

-- Susquehanna RV: Your go-to destination for travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, and motorhomes—new or pre-owned! Check out one of their rigs right at the Outdoor Expo! 

-- Xpress~oh! Catering: Offering fine hot and cold handcrafted beverages such as Iced lattes, Cappuccinos, Regular and Decaf Coffees, Iced Teas, including Bursting Boba, Matcha, lemonades and Italian Cream Sodas. 

And many more!! 

The event will also feature opportunities to learn wilderness first aid tips, packing essentials for your next hiking trip, a balance bike rodeo for the kids, learn how to disc golf, and other activities—plus, a chance to win a kayak or bike package and other great outdoor themed prizes!
