DEP Posted 77 Pages Of Permit-Related Notices In May 3 PA Bulletin

Highlights of the environmental and energy notices in the
May 3 PA Bulletin-- 

-- PA Oil & Gas Industrial Facilities: Permit Notices, Opportunities To Comment - May 3 [PaEN]


-- DEP published notice in the May 3 PA Bulletin it received an Air Quality Plan Approval application on April 4 for a 4.6 gigawatt natural gas-fired power plant from Homer City Generation, LLC to be located in Center Township, Indiana County.  (PA Bulletin, page 3148)

This 3,200 acre site will host Pennsylvania’s largest natural gas power plant and data center campus, according to DEP.   The application includes seven (7) 633 MWe combined cycle combustion and ten (10)  25 MWe simple cycle aeroderivative natural gas turbines, three (3) 67 MMBtu/hr auxiliary boilers, emergency generators, emergency fire water pump engines, cooling towers and fuel gas heaters.

-- DEP published notice in the May 3 PA Bulletin announcing the opportunity to bid on the Belle Vernon Region Phase I abandoned mine reclamation project in Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County and Washington Township, Fayette County.


Permits

-- LPC Logistics 83 Building III, LP - 243,000 sq. ft. Warehouse: DEP invites comments on a Individual NPDES Stormwater Permit for a warehouse project impacting Fishing Creek and Exceptional Value wetlands located in Fairview Twp., York County. (PA Bulletin, page 3142)
