Keystone 10 Million Trees Partnership Honored With A Foxwynd Foundation $10,000 Visionary Leadership Award

On May 19,
Keystone 10 Million Trees Partnership announced it was honored earlier this month with the “Visionary Leadership Award,” presented by the Foxwynd Foundation of Chester County.

The award recognizes the partnership for its “ability to unite hundreds of partners under one transformative vision—to create lasting environmental change through collective action.”

Dr. Paul Clark, Grant Committee Member of the Foxwynd Foundation, made the announcement as part of the Foundation’s Annual Impact Awards presentations on May 6. The K10 is coordinated by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.

“The Chesapeake Bay Foundation is deeply honored to receive this year’s Foxwynd Foundation Visionary Leadership Award,” said Katharene Poston, Chief Philanthropy Officer at CBF. “We sincerely appreciate the Bentley family and the Foxwynd Foundation for their unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability, especially through transformative initiatives like CBF’s Keystone 10 Million Trees Partnership.”

According to the Foxwynd Foundation, the “Visionary Leadership Award” recognizes “bold, forward-thinking leadership that drives lasting change.

It recognizes individuals or initiatives that tackle complex challenges with innovation, collaboration, and a clear vision for a better future.”

“These awards recognize organizations and individuals who embody the values and vision of our work—those who have gone above and beyond to create measurable, meaningful impact,” Dr. Clark said. “The Impact Awards not only honor outstanding achievements, but also set a standard for what is possible when passion meets purpose.”

Foxwynd celebrated the achievements of the Keystone 10 Million Trees Partnership.

“Through the ambitious goal of planting 10 million trees in 10 years, this initiative has not only advanced conservation efforts but also strengthened communities, improved regional water quality, and demonstrated how strategic partnerships can scale impact.”

In 2024, Foxwynd awarded a $75,000 tree survival grant to the K10 to be used for maintenance, supplies, and logistical support for trees planted by the Partnership, which has grown to over 300 member organizations.

The grant was the first for Foxwynd’s environmental focus and mission to support initiatives that foster community well-being and resilience.

The grant was funded by The Foxwynd Foundation Donor Advised Fund. Launched in January 2024, the Foxwynd Foundation has impacted environmental sustainability, healthcare, and housing through 32 organizations in 17 U.S. states.
