In 2021, the U.S. Department of Energy launched Project PARETO to help oil and gas organizations with produced water management-- transport, treat, store, inject and/or reuse produced water from onshore oil & gas operations.
Project PARETO can help with decisions around--
-- Buildout of produced water infrastructure (e.g., pipelines, trucking hubs, storage facilities, saltwater disposal wells, etc.)
-- Management of produced water volumes
-- Selection of effective treatment technologies
-- Placement and sizing of produced water treatment facilities
-- Identification of beneficial reuse options
-- Distribution of treated produced water and/or concentrated brine for beneficial reuse
Speakers include--
-- Markus Drouven, Technical Director of DPE’s Project Pareto
-- Thomas Beresnyak, Extension Energy Educator
-- Daniel Brockett, Extension Educator
-- Dr. Joseph Conklin, Extension Educator
-- Jonathan Laughner, Extension Educator
-- Dona Ollendyke, Extension Program Assistant
-- Matthew Svetz, Educational Program Specialist
