-- Final Guidance: Minor Revision To Residual Waste and Special Handling Waste Streams - DEP ID: 258-2000-764: This TGD identifies and describes procedures for the disposal of residual waste and special handling wastes at permitted waste processing facilities and waste disposal facilities in the Commonwealth. It applies to and will assist persons and municipalities operating the facilities that need to file appropriate forms in order to receive Department approval to accept residual waste or special handling waste for processing or disposal.
-- New Guidance: Guidelines for the Preparation of a Contingency Plan for the Transportation of Residual Waste - DEP ID: 254-5900-002. This TGD describes the process by which transporters of residual waste may comply with the Department's rules and regulations for developing a Transporter's Contingency Plan. Residual waste transporters are required to have a contingency plan to address and report incidences, such as spills and fires that might occur while transporting residual waste. Comments due March 18.

-- The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the February 17 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a major amendment to the Chapter 102 permit for the Mariner East II Natural Gas Liquids Pipeline in West Goshen Township, Chester County. (PA Bulletin, page 850)
The purpose of the proposed amendment is for the installation of Best Management Practices on property owned by Sunoco in order to comply with the West Goshen Township Stormwater Ordinance. Read more here.

-- The Public Utility Commission published notice in the February 17 PA Bulletin seeking public comments on a petition by the Williams Companies, Inc. to declare that two planned 11 MW solar energy facilities not directly connected to a distribution system qualify to generate Solar Alternative Energy Credits under the Alternative Energy Portfolio Standards.
The solar energy facilities are proposed to provide electricity to Transco natural gas compressor stations in Columbia (Station 610) and Wyoming (Station 605) counties. Read more here.
