Help Wanted: Sign-Up Begins Jan. 29 For Pittsburgh-based Landforce Crew Member Workforce Training Program; Projects Also Wanted

 Landforce is now hiring crew members for their paid job training program which not only helps restore and maintain green community assets, it supports development of strong, capable employees for future employers.

Application period opens January 29 and ends February 26.

Landforce combines work readiness training and support with land stewardship-- vacant lot maintenance, habitat restoration, trail construction and more.

Crew members gain real work experience as they also make progress on their personal and employment goals to secure their next steps in the job market.

The program includes--

-- Training: 8 weeks of paid training begins March 25, $14/hour for 35 hours/week;

-- Certifications: First Aid & CPR, Tree Tenders, HAZWOPER OSHA 40, Chainsaw Safety, National Green Infrastructure, Restorative Practices, Bring Your A Game

-- Employment: Temporary land stewardship position following training through Fall 2024.  Starts at $15/hour eligible for raises up to $15/hour for 35 hours/week, plus job completion bonus

-- Career Coaching: One-On-One career coaching, professional development and future job seeking support.
