The Pennsylvania Forestry Association will hold its 138th Forest Symposium November 1 in State College focused on topics related to wildlife habitats and the Game Commission.
Nearly 60% of Pennsylvania is forested and home to dozens of birds and mammals.
Symposium presentations cover how the PGC uses traditional and non-traditional silviculture, their Hunter Access Program, prescribed fire, and techniques for managing ruffed grouse populations and habitat.
The Symposium will be held at the Ramada Hotel from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
