Alliance For The Chesapeake Bay, DCNR PA Woodland Resilience Enhancement Program Cost-Shares Forest Practice Plan Writing, Implementation

Starting September 18, a new
PA Woodland Resilience Enhancement Program for forest land owners will cost-share forest practice plan writing and implementation meant to improve the health, resilience and value of forest land.

Administered by the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay and DCNR’s Bureau of Forestry the program is open to any non-industrial landowner in Pennsylvania with at least 10 acres of contiguous forest and no more than 2,500 acres of land total.

Landowners are reimbursed between 80-100% of the total cost of forest management practices, up to $25,000.

To get started, contact the DCNR Service Forester in your county to set up a visit to your property and to help you prepare an application.

If approved, a PWREN project coordinator will contact you to enter a simple landowner agreement and assist with finding an approved Technical Service Provider/Consulting Forester to develop a plan and work on your property.

When work is complete, submit your receipts to the PWREN project coordinator to receive a cost reimbursement check.
