DEP Sets 3 Hearings On Proposed Implementation Plan For RACT Under National Ozone Pollution Standards

The Department of Environmental Protection published
notice in the September 27 PA Bulletin announcing it will hold three hearings on the proposed implementation plan for the Reasonably Available Control Technology Guidelines for the 2008 and 2015 National Ozone Pollution Standards.

DEP is seeking public comment on this SIP revision that proposes to certify that the Department's regulations and measures to control VOC emissions have been implemented in this Commonwealth and address RACT based on the EPA's CTG for the 2008 and 2015 ozone NAAQS.

The in-person public hearings will be held--

-- October 28: DEP Southwest Regional Office, Pittsburgh. 10:00 a.m. to Noon;

-- October 28: DEP Southcentral Regional Office, Harrisburg. 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

-- October 30: DEP Southeast Regional Office, Norristown, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
