DEP To Hold Nov. 6 Hearing On A Water Quality Permit For The East Stroudsburg Borough Wastewater Treatment Plant In Monroe County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the September 20 PA Bulletin announcing a November 6 hearing on the NPDES Water Quality Permit for the East Stroudsburg Borough Wastewater Treatment Plant in Monroe County.  (

The treatment plant discharges wastewater into Brodhead Creek.

The hearing will be held at the East Stroudsburg Municipal Building, 24 Analomick Street, East Stroudsburg starting at 5:00 p.m.

Persons wishing to present testimony at the hearing should contact DEP’s Community Relations Coordinator at pamonahan@pa.gov or 570.826.2035 before 4:00 p.m. on November 5, 2025.

Requests to review the permit application should be directed to DEP’s File Review Coordinator at 570-826-2511.
