Rep. Abigail Salisbury, Construction Junction, PA Solar Center, Partners To Host Oct. 17 Forum In Pittsburgh On How Solar Energy Can Help Residents Gain Energy Independence, Reduce Energy Costs

State Rep. Abigail Salisbury,
Clean Energy Co-op SW PA Chapter, PA Solar Center and EIS Solar will join Construction Junction on October 17 to discuss how community residents can take power into their own hands with solar energy at a special forum at Construction Junction, 214 N. Lexington Street in Pittsburgh starting at 10:00 a.m.

Solar energy is the fastest-growing source of new electricity generation in the United States. Organizations that invest in solar can significantly reduce operating costs while protecting themselves from future utility price increases.

At this free-to-attend event, Construction Junction will share its own success story in going solar.

Their 203.58 kW solar energy system was installed by local developer EIS Solar through the Pennsylvania Solar Center's GET Solar Program, which provides free-to-low-cost technical assistance and consulting to organizations pursuing solar energy projects.

Construction Junction’s solar system has reduced their electricity bill by 83 percent. EIS estimates they will save $643,692 over 25 years.

Now Construction Junction and their partners want to help empower others by inviting them to this free discussion on how solar can help consumers achieve energy independence, through the Energy Independence for PA campaign.

Speakers include--

-- Rep. Abigail Salisbury

-- Mike Gable, Founding Director, Construction Junction

-- Daniel Berg, Clean Energy Co-op SW PA Chapter

-- Ian Smith, Director of Residential Consultations, EIS Solar
