PA Oil & Gas Industrial Facilities: Permit Notices, Opportunities To Comment - October 10

The following notices were published in the
October 10 PA Bulletin related to oil and gas industry facilities.  Many of the notices offer the opportunity for public comments.

-- DEP published notice in the October 10 PA Bulletin announcing it has issued a Chapter 105 permit to Expand Operating LLC for a four mile long, 16-inch aboveground shale gas water pipeline in Auburn Township, Susquehanna County. (PA Bulletin, page 6745)  Read more here.


-- DEP published notice in the October 10 PA Bulletin announcing a Request for Information on prospective energy generation or storage projects that could be eligible for State sponsorship by the Commonwealth to PJM Interconnection as an Expedited Interconnection Track Project for the 2027 window.  Responses are due November 16.   Read more here.


Land Recycling/Brownfield Cleanups

-- Laurel Pipe Line Company, LP - Primary Facility: DEP received Notice of Intent to remediate soil contaminated by diesel fuel to meet the Statewide Health Standards at the site located in Bethel Twp., Delaware County.  (PA Bulletin, page 6711)

-- Laurel Pipe Line Company, LP -Primary Facility: DEP received Final  Report on remediation of soil contaminated with unleaded gasoline to meet the Statewide Health Standards at the site located in Bethel Twp., Delaware County. (PA Bulletin, page 6737)


2026 Act 2 Oil & Gas Facility Pollution Cleanups

So far in 2026, DEP received or acted on 148 Act 2 Land Recycling notices related to oil and gas facility site cleanups.
