TreePennsylvania Starts Accepting Applications For Bare Root Tree Grants Oct. 12; Applicant Webinar Oct. 26

TreePennsylvania will start accepting applications for Bare Root Tree Grants on October 12 to help eligible Pennsylvania municipalities and nonprofit organizations bring more trees to streets, parks, schools, and other community spaces.

This program provides 10 – 20 large caliper bare root trees for planting on land owned by a municipality (streets and parks) or nonprofit organizations.

If your community is considering a spring 2027 planting project, now is the time to start thinking about potential planting locations, local approvals, and project plans.

Unfortunately, we are not able to accept applications from private individuals, corporations, or for plantings occurring on privately owned land.

Communities in Allegheny, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties are not eligible to apply, but encouraged to inquire about funding through Western Pennsylvania Conservancy (for Allegheny County) or the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties).

Oct. 26 Webinar

Interested communities must attend the required grant webinar on October 26 to be eligible to apply. The webinar will cover the program, eligibility requirements, application process, and grantee responsibilities.

Send an email to Jessica at: grants@treepennsylvania.org to obtain the webinar link.

Since 2020, this program has helped communities plant more than 5,000 large-caliper bare-root trees across Pennsylvania.

Visit the TreePennsylvania Bare Toot Tree Program webpage for more information.  Questions should be directed to Jessica by sending email to: grants@treepennsylvania.org.
