DEP Invites Comments On Air Quality Permit Renewal For The Max Environmental Yukon Hazardous/Residual Waste Treatment Facility In Westmoreland County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the July 12 PA Bulletin inviting comments on the proposed renewal of a State Only Air Quality Permit for the Max Environmental Yukon hazardous and residual waste treatment facility in South Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County.  (

DEP is accepting comments on the application until August 11-- 30 days after the notice.

No public hearing is proposed, but may be held, if DEP, in its discretion, decides that such a hearing is warranted based on the comments received. 

All pertinent documents used in the evaluation of the application are available for public review during normal business hours at DEP’s Southwest Regional Office, 400 Waterfront Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
