PA American Water To Host June 23-25 Wonderful World Of Water Camp In The City Of York

On May 6,
Pennsylvania American Water announced that its annual Wonderful World of Water Camp series will be coming to the City of York for the first time this year.

To be held June 23-25 at Keystone Kidspace, the day camp will be offered free of charge to children of Pennsylvania American Water customers.

“Our Wonderful World of Water Camp offers a unique experience that teaches children in a hands-on way about one of our most precious resources – water. We’re excited to bring it to the City of York in 2025,” said William Gelgot, external affairs manager for Pennsylvania American Water. “The local York-area environment, including the Codorus Creek, will be the focal point of this camp, allowing participants to learn how they can help protect their own surroundings and the local watershed while learning from familiar, experienced environmental organizations.”

During the camp, children aged 7 to 11 will explore watershed basics, learn how human activity on the land affects the quality of water in rivers and streams, and discover solutions to water pollution.

Underwritten and run by Pennsylvania American Water, the Wonderful World of Water Camp provides an opportunity for children to enjoy outdoor fun while learning about water.

The company is partnering with Penn State Extension Master Watershed Stewards and other local environmental organizations to organize and host the York-based Wonderful World of Water Camp.
