The workshop will engage the public in discussions about climate impacts and ongoing efforts to address the climate crisis in Pennsylvania.
This interactive, thought-provoking session will be an opportunity for community members to voice their concerns, offer feedback, and work together to shape the future of climate action planning in the state.
The workshop will focus on Pennsylvania’s climate impacts, such as rising temperatures, changing weather patterns, and the effects on local ecosystems.
The event will also highlight the newly released 2024 Pennsylvania Climate Impacts Assessment and the 2024 Pennsylvania Climate Action Plan, both of which are essential resources in understanding the state’s current climate trajectory and planned responses. Read more here.
This is a chance for all Pennsylvanians to come together and ensure that the state’s approach to climate action reflects the concerns and needs of every community.
The event will feature a community climate conversation, where participants will have the chance to ask questions, share ideas, and offer input into the climate action plans being developed by the DEP.
By working together, we can ensure that climate policies are not only effective but also equitable, addressing the needs of marginalized communities, as well as ensuring a sustainable future for the generations to come.
If you have any questions you would like to submit ahead of time, please email them to RA-EPCIMATE@pa.gov.
The DEP team will make every effort to address as many questions as possible during the live event, and any questions that aren’t covered will receive follow-up responses.
