PA Resources Council Hard-To-Recycle Collections Launch May 17 In Allegheny County

The
Pennsylvania Resources Council will launch its 2025 HARD-TO-RECYCLE collection campaign by hosting an event in Allegheny County on Saturday, May 17.

Throughout the spring, summer and fall, a series of hard-to-recycle collections will enable individuals to responsibly recycle a wide variety of items not accepted in curbside collection such as e-waste, tires and small Freon appliances.

The first hard-to-recycle collection of the season will take place on Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. in North Park, Allegheny County.  Presenting sponsor of this event is Allegheny County Health Department.

Participants must register in advance online or by calling 412-488-7490.

For a $5 PARTICIPANT FEE, individuals can drop off unlimited cell/home phones, computer towers and peripheral equipment (keyboards, laptops, mice, etc.), expanded polystyrene packaging material, microwave ovens and video game consoles/DVD players.

For an ADDITIONAL FEE, individuals can recycle televisions and computer monitors, printers, fluorescent tubes, small Freon appliances and tires (with and without rims).
