Lower Susquehanna Source Water Protection Partnership Holds Virtual Meeting Dec. 4 On Federal Disaster Response; Regulating Water Supplies; Roadside Springs

The Susquehanna River Basin Commission announced the Lower Susquehanna Source Water Protection Partnership will hold a virtual meeting December 4 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon.

The agenda includes presentations on--

-- Regulatory Approach To Public Water Supply by Dave Bolig, DEP Bureau of Safe Drinking Water, and Todd Eaby, Project Review, SRBC;

-- Water Quality Characterization of Roadside Springs By Faith Kibuye Penn State Extension Water Resources Associate

-- Federal Response to Support Water Infrastructure During Declared Disasters by Christopher Andersen, Regional Source Water Protection Coordinator, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 3

The Lower Susquehanna Source Water Protection Partnership (Partnership) was formed in 2012 to examine ways in which agencies and organizations can collaborate to address common issues and challenges related to protecting sources of drinking water on a regional scale.

The Partnership now has more than 40 organizations that meet twice a year to utilize their shared knowledge and technical expertise.
