Susquehanna River Basin Commission Helps Wormleysburg Celebrate River Day 2019

The July 20 Wormleysburg Borough River Day in Cumberland County was a great success, in spite of the heat.
The day offered children’s activities, food, music, educational programs by Zoo America and the Susquehanna River School and river-themed exhibits from the Fish and Boat Commission, Pride of the Susquehanna River Boat, Susquehanna Greenways Partnership and many more.
Staff from the Susquehanna River Basin Commission were also there to answer questions about the Susquehanna River and Commission activities.
Visit the Wormleysburg Borough River Day Facebook page to learn how you can get involved in next year’s activities.  Questions should be directed to Joe Deklinski by sending email to: jdeklinski@hotmail.com.
Wormleysburg is one of dozens of river towns located up and down the Susquehanna River that connect the river to the land.  Visit the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership River Towns webpage to learn more.
