PA Grade Crude [Oil] Development Advisory Council Meets May 23 To Discuss Brine Spreading, Other Issues In State College

The PA Grand Crude [Oil] Development Advisory Council is scheduled to meet May 23 to discuss a report on brine spreading as a method of disposal for conventional drilling wastewater.
A new study recently found 240.4 million gallons of wastewater from conventional oil and gas wells was spread on Pennsylvania roads between 1991 and 2017 as a dust suppressant and for other uses.
Also on the agenda are--
-- Legacy Well Program update
-- Wastewater Treatment Plant and Underground Injection Well updates
-- Videos of Orphan Well and Conventional Well Development Projects
The meeting will be held at Penn State University, 200 Innovation Boulevard, Room 243 in State College from 10:00 to 4:00.
