PA Organization For Watersheds & Rivers Hosts June 25 Online Conversation Café - Flood Risk Communication

The
PA Organization for Watersheds and Rivers will host staff from the Nurture Nature Center on Thursday, June 25th at Noon for a virtual presentation and conversation about effective flood risk communication, resiliency planning, and community engagement and education.

Participants will leave this webinar with helpful resources they can share in their own communities, so we can all be better prepared.

The Nurture Nature Center, a non-profit in Easton, Northampton County, was founded in 2007 in response to repeated flooding in their community.

This webinar presentation will, in part, present and reflect on decades of community-based experience and social science research.

Join POWR as we host Kathryn Semmens, Science Director and Grants Administrator for the Nature Nurture Center, to learn more about this important and always timely topic.

This event will be recorded, but joining live will give you the opportunity to ask questions and interact with our presenter and other attendees.

This event is FREE, but registration is required by June 24th to receive the Zoom link.

For more information on POWR programs, initiatives, upcoming events and help available to community-based watershed organizations, visit the PA Organization for Watersheds and Rivers website.  Follow them on Facebook.
